Welcome to our first newsletter for 2008! We hope you had a great New Year celebration and enjoyed the festive season or if you're lucky enough - still enjoying it! As you can imagine January is an exciting time of the year for us here at Earth Institute because it means the beginning of another year of exciting study programs. January is the month that people decide to take the plunge and commence that course they've always wanted to do! So if you are one of those people, now is the time get involved and our Open Day is the best place to help you make that final decision (see details below). There are also some new courses in 2008 we've highlighted this month.

 Open Day
On Sunday 20 January 2008 from 1 - 4pm, we host our annual Open Day here at the Institute. The day involves talks from key lecturers about our upcoming courses and programs. The afternoon is a great chance for you to see our premises (if you haven't already), meet the lecturers face-to-face and be inspired by the transformational courses on offer here at Earth Institute in 2008. We encourage you to bring along a friend, colleague or family member who might be interested and there are also Lucky Door Prizes on the day include a chance to win one of four free Life Program courses!

 MOON  MOMENTS 

New Moon January 8 9.37pm AEST 17 degrees Capricorn
New Year’s resolutions begun on or shortly after this New Moon are likely to stick, as long as you give yourself some flexibility. Hardworking Capricorn’s ambitious work ethic is emphasised as expansive Jupiter joins the Sun and Moon in this sign. A shadow link from Venus indicates ulterior motives for professional diligence now include a playful desire for more freedom. Extra professional effort at this New Moon creates more choice for adventure down the track. Exciting Uranus adds spark to the New Moon indicating this month is ideal for breaking established but no longer effective life or work patterns.

The Leo Full Moon triggers memories of a more playful approach to life. This regal Full Moon reminds each of us there are areas in our lives where it is totally appropriate to stand up and claim our role as leader. Venus and Mars, planets of passion and relationship, face off under the light of this Full Moon drawing relationship differences into the spotlight. You can stick to your guns and stay in your own corner or find a way to meet others in the middle. Communication planet Mercury is slowing down and close to dreamy Neptune. Misunderstandings are likely if you don’t double check the facts.
